Trek Company was the first to market flash drives in 2000. In the year 1998, an individual named Dov Moran was formulating the USB flash drive and the exclusive rights were registered in the year 2000.
However, the initial copyright to only cite USB thumb drives was lodged by IBM’s employee, Shimon Shmueli, in the year 1999.
