Who invented the TV?

There is some debate regarding who discovered the television (TV), and some people state that it may have two founders. It is perhaps factual that, via their individual attempts, two great but totally different researchers, Philo Farnsworth and Vladimir Kosma Zworykin, presented us television as we know it these days. Philo Farnsworth devised the initial all-electric TV in the year 1927. Zworykin obtained patents for the initial scanning tube that he named as an iconoscope, in the year 1923, after Farnsworth had his early insights.
